Our Story: How It All Began

In 2021, we packed up our lives in San Diego and, with two of our kids, moved to Quito, Ecuador. We didn’t fully understand why we felt so strongly about making the move, but it quickly became clear. We were here to create jobs.

Soon after arriving, we met countless talented English-speaking Ecuadorians who were educated, motivated, and simply under employed or unemployed. That’s when we launched ZConnect, a company dedicated to helping U.S. businesses hire skilled, remote team members from Ecuador.

Now, after nearly four years of living in Quito and with regular travel back to the U.S. to meet with clients and see our family, we had a new thought: Why not help missionary families send packages back and forth more easily?

It’s common to have 15 or more missionaries at our home on P-days, playing pickleball, enjoying lunch, and feeling a little bit of home. We’ve loved every minute of it. That’s why we launched EcuadorPackages.com, another way to serve the community while creating more local jobs.

Our mission

But our mission doesn’t stop there. We also run a nonprofit foundation, Kovê International, where we organize large-scale service projects (Next Trip June 2026) and yes, you’re invited to join us.

Kovê also supports a Good Samaritan Fund, which helps individuals transition from life on the streets to stability and hope. To learn more, visit the Kovê International page here.

And if you've always wanted a farm but someone else to run it, our dragon fruit farm is always looking for investors to join us in providing consistent jobs in the Amazon region.
